Accessing the building
The entrance to the Winter Gardens Conference Centre is flat floor/step-free access.
The entrance we are using is on Leopold Grove - FY1 4LD.
What rooms will we be using?
The main room for National Conference will be the Ballroom.
Circle 3 and Circle 4 will be opened up into one space to create a breakout space. Click here for a virtual tour of the Circle space.
Circle 1 will be closed off to create a breakout space.
Circle 2 will be closed off creating a breakout space.
The other breakout spaces will be on the ground level - the Foyer room will be split into Foyer 1 and Foyer 2. Click here for a virtual tour of the Foyer space.
Accessible Toilets
Ground Floor: Accessible toilet is located on the ground floor inside the Conference Centre, right hand transfer: Accessible Toilet Information
Level 1: Accessible toilet is located on Level 1 inside the Conference Centre, left hand transfer: Accessible Toilet Information Level 1
Lift Information
Information on lift access to all levels of the venue can be found here.
Ear Defenders
We encourage reps to bring their own ear defenders where possible. Please speak to our welcome team at registration who will do what they can to assist.
Auto captioning
We will have auto captioning in each of the rooms.
Well-being / Quiet space
This will be through the Foyer area into this space called the Annex. This will be always staffed by our well-being team throughout the Conference.
Multifaith Room
There will be two Multifaith Rooms available throughout the Conference. These will be clearly signposted. One of the rooms will be for women only.
Reserved Access Seating
We will have tables reserved at the front of each room for access.
If you have a preferred location let our delegate experience staff know on arrival and we will do our best to accommodation your request.
BSL
We have had no requests for BSL for National Conference.
Coloured Printing
If you have requested documents in a specific format and/or specific coloured paper in advance of the Conference, then this will be available for collection at registration on arrival.
Please let the welcome team know so they can provide you with your pack.
Hearing Loops
The venue's Conference Centre has built in hearing loops in each of the rooms. Please let staff onsite know if you have any issues.
First Aid
We have several first aid trained staff onsite, please speak to a member of the NUS Staff team who will be wearing NUS branded T-Shirts and they will be able to assist.
If you require medication to be stored in a fridge, please let one of our team know – we will have a small fridge in the well-being space specifically for this purpose.
All medication must be clearly labelled.

Catering
There is no catering provided at any of these events.
The venue will have cash catering onsite in the Conference Centre and the Bistro will also be open. We have requested no nuts for this event.
