If you are eligible to vote, you should do two things:
1) Register to vote at your current UK address. Register by 23:59 on Monday 20th April for all UK elections taking place on Thursday 7th May 2026.
2) Apply for free voter ID by Tuesday 28th April. You need to show valid photo ID to vote in some UK elections, including Local Elections in England on Thursday 7th May 2026.
