The candidates for the position of NUS England President are listed below.
Adil Musani
University of Westminster Students' Union

Statement:
I lead with action and accountability. As a sabbatical officer, I have driven initiatives that deliver tangible change for students—responding to the cost-of-living crisis, strengthening access to wellbeing support, and building inclusive campus communities. I led work that reduced barriers to mental-health care, expanded essential student support, and secured investment in spaces where students can belong, practice faith, connect, and thrive. By setting priorities, coordinating stakeholders, and delivering outcomes, I have shown what effective student leadership looks like. This is the leadership I bring to NUS: decisive, evidence-led, and rooted in student needs—focused on impact, not rhetoric.
Nominators:
Forum Yadav, The Union MMU
Chirag Ahuja, Greenwich Students' Union
Muhammad Haroon, Kingston Students' Union
Leona Chang, Royal College of Art Students' Union
Muhammad Barik Ullah, University of Westminster Students' Union
Anas Iqbal, University of Bradford Union
Baiyu Liu, King's College London Students' Union
Elliot Briffa
University of Manchester Students' Union

Statement:
£32,688 - that's the rent I've paid since turning 18.
But that number will be higher for those who haven't yet graduated. Students are in a state of survival which risks making University exclusively for the rich.
Depoliticisation and removal of democratic structures has left NUS unequipped for the modern world.
2 SUs have left the NUS. Many others are awaiting their votes. I will work to introduce direct student membership, one member, one vote.
I am a socialist, anti-imperialist and an experienced political organiser.
Vote Briffa to bring both organising experience and political integrity to the organisation.
Nominators:
William Jones, Liverpool Guild of Students
Thomas Lamont, University of Exeter Students' Guild
Sam Omondi, University of Sheffield Students' Union
Hina Rehman Khalil, University of Salford Students' Union
Komal Ashfaq, The Union MMU
Ananya Sreekumar, Warwick Students' Union
Eden Morris, Leeds University Union
Favour Alexander Samuel
University of Nottingham Students' Union

Statement:
I'm a human rights lawyer with Nigerian heritage, raised in South Africa & Nottingham SU President. I lived landlord exploitation, food poverty, fee arrears as international student. I co-founded Her Way Out (UN presentation), coordinated responses for 927 Ghanaian students facing deportation, led RGSU leaders against ISL levy. I enforce binding international law to respect, protect and fulfil students' rights: build pro-bono legal networks for international students and GBV survivors, restore Graduate Route to 24 months, advocate for rent controls, recognize Israel's actions as genocide, challenge fascist campus organizing. Students drive this movement. Vote Favour Samuel #1 NUS England President.

Statement:
Across the UK, Sabbatical Officers are expected to lead through rising rents, falling maintenance support, visa instability, and growing political pressure. Yet too often their democratic mandate is second-guessed.
I am Rohan Rajesh (He/Him), President of ARU Students’ Union. I have led reform, strengthened democratic structures, and worked constructively with institutions while delivering change. I understand governance and grassroots organising, and how to balance them.
To win on the issues that matter, NUS must be disciplined in how it makes decisions and who it answers to.
