Vice President Further Education candidates

The candidates for the position of Vice President Further Education are listed below.

Kaynat Ahmad

Dudley College of Technology Students' Union

Statement:

I’m Kaynat Ahmad, President of Dudley College Students’ Union, standing to be your next Vice President for Further Education at the NUS. For three years, I’ve championed FE learners, fighting for fairer transport, stronger representation, and real support during the cost-of-living crisis. FE students face financial hardship, underfunded services, and limited national visibility, and we deserve better. As VP FE, I will rebuild connections between NUS and colleges, strengthen communication, amplify apprentices and underrepresented voices, and push for fair funding and proper support. Further Education has been overlooked for too long. It’s time to claim our recognition, and power.

Hence, I am standing to strengthen the political influence that FE holds, develop better networks, nationally, between colleges. I will campaign for transparent accountability within NUS, stronger links between vocational students and employers and better national standards that safeguard every learner in FE. FE is central to the future of this country and it needs leadership that will reflect that.
