The Deputy Returning Officer is pleased to announce the results of the ballot for NUS Member Director (Student). The election was conducted on a one member one vote basis with each Students’ Union / Association receiving one vote. Following voting the candidates elected are:
- Heather Innes
- Noah Katz
Their appointment to the board is subject to ratification by NUS National Conference. Terms of office start 1 July.
Student Directors represent NUS' members and are there to ensure the voice of students is part of our board decision making. They sit on NUS’ Board and their role is to support and guide our work in delivering our ambitious Plan for Action.
As well as making sure our work is being delivered and that we are living our values, Directors are custodians of our reputation, finances, and legal responsibilities. The Board is made up of NUS officers, externals, and representatives from NUS’ membership.
