NUS UK has announced the results of the ballot for NUS Member Directors. The election was conducted on a one member, one vote basis with each NUS UK member students’ union / association receiving one vote.
Two Staff Directors and two Student Directors have been elected to three-year terms, which will begin in July 2026.
The candidates elected are:
- Becca Turton - Oxford Brookes Students' Union (Staff Director)
- Trish McGrath - Aberystwyth University Students' Union (Staff Director)
- Lucy Hart - Leeds University Union (Student Director)
- Sam Omondi - Sheffield Students' Union (Student Director)
Student Directors represent NUS' members and are there to ensure the voice of students is part of our board decision making. They sit on NUS’ Board and their role is to support and guide our work. The Board is made up of NUS officers, externals, and representatives from NUS’ membership.
