Increase student support, not tuition fees

The government has raised tuition fees, while students go hungry, barely able to afford the essentials.

14% of students use foodbanks, 55% have cut back on food, and 13% have experienced homelessness. Students are broke, yet the government wants to increase our debt with higher fees.

We think the government can do better than the 3.1% increase in maintenance loan funding that they announced today. We need maintenance grants back, that we don’t have to repay, so that no-one has to use foodbanks while at university.
