NUS UK responds to the bi-annual antisemitism on campus report

Everyone should be able to go to university, safe in the knowledge that they will be able to openly practice their faith without consequences.

The report from the CST today, 30 September 2026, is deeply concerning and shows how university communities, our communities, are failing Jewish students.

We need to see action - from the Government, from universities, from students’ unions and from individuals. We all have a role to play in making our campuses a safe place for everyone. This work is ongoing - NUS are part of important projects including addressing community cohesion on campus and encouraging inter-faith connections. But when you consider that most students are only students for three years, there is a huge urgency to ensure that an entire cohort’s university experience is not overwhelmed with this wave of antisemitism. We will not stop until every Jewish student feels safe on campus.
