          <h2 class="page-headline">Rachel Currie</h2>
        

          <div class="page-content">
            <p>Rachel joined NUS Scotland as Campaigns and Influencing Manager in November 2024. Before that, she worked in the third sector, leading projects for a child poverty organisation, focusing on influencing policy and creating change.</p>
<p>She studied Social Sciences at West College Scotland before completing a degree in Politics, International Relations, and Social Policy at the University of Strathclyde.</p>
<p>Rachel is passionate about challenging and dismantling the structural and social determinates of inequality and injustice in society.</p>
<p>In her free time, Rachel loves finding new pastry shops, reading, and taking walks with her partner’s sausage dog.</p>
