Rachel Currie

Rachel joined NUS Scotland as Campaigns and Influencing Manager in November 2024. Before that, she worked in the third sector, leading projects for a child poverty organisation, focusing on influencing policy and creating change.

She studied Social Sciences at West College Scotland before completing a degree in Politics, International Relations, and Social Policy at the University of Strathclyde.

Rachel is passionate about challenging and dismantling the structural and social determinates of inequality and injustice in society.

In her free time, Rachel loves finding new pastry shops, reading, and taking walks with her partner’s sausage dog.
