About Drea...

Drea is invested in dismantling colonial, oppressive and white supremacist systems and structures in order to reimagine, create and build communities and spaces of mutual love, care and respect for one another. She spent her time at University building community and advocating for students of colour especially Black students and her efforts were recognised by being awarded the Mariam Kaba Award for Leadership and Community Service (2019) and McGill University's Award for Equity and Community Building (2019).

Drea joined NUS UK in February 2021 and is currently the student organiser for #NUSDecoloniseEducation. She is dedicated to fighting for liberation and generating social change. Drea is passionate about the Arts, culture + heritage and loves anime, cats, gastronomy and reading (when her brain allows her to)! .
