Ashley became involved in students’ unions during her undergraduate degree at Edinburgh Napier University when she founded her University’s gender equality society. She was elected as Vice-President of Reps & Volunteers for her SU and campaigned to eradicate graduation fees and implement a maternity policy for students at Napier. After this, she began working at NUS Scotland as a Governance and Admin Coordinator before moving to NUS Charity to work as the Governance Coordinator. Ashley is heavily involved in tenants’ rights activism in Scotland and will happily shout at your landlord if you ask her. She enjoys feminist podcasts, musical theatre and has performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
