About the role


We are looking for an enthusiastic, ambitious and innovative candidate to join the Political Affairs and Advocacy team. The Public Affairs Assistant will make vital contributions and provide crucial administrative support to the team’s high-impact public affairs work and influence in Parliament.

The successful candidate will have an interest in - and instinct for - politics. You will be organised, have keen attention to detail and be able to thrive in fast-paced environments.

From helping draft letters and briefings to MPs and monitoring key developments in Parliament to offering logistical support for the APPG on Students and our party conference programme, our new Public Affairs Assistant will be at the heart of NUS's public affairs work.

This role will be part-time and fixed term until the end of June 2018.
