‘Representing and supporting you to enhance your student experience’

Hertfordshire Students’ Union provides independent representation and support to the 27,700 students attending the University of Hertfordshire.

With its main base in the brand new Hutton Hub on the College Lane Campus in Hatfield with a satellite office on the deHavilland Campus, the Students’ Union offers opportunities and services to students across campus.

The Students’ Union building, “The Forum Hertfordshire,” provides exciting social and leisure facilities for students. It includes a 2,000 capacity live music venue/club, bars, coffee shop, convenience store and refectory.

The facilities play a central role in enhancing the student experience. However, Hertfordshire Students’ Union is more than entertainments and leisure. It is committed to representing and supporting all of its 27,700 students through a broad range of initiatives.

These include: Advice & Support, covering academic matters and legal issues, a Student Job team focussing on finding casual work for students, a Student Housing Service to help students find rented accommodation, facilitating and organising volunteering in the local community, a dedicated Student Representation team, providing training in subjects such as time management and presentation skills, organising and promoting a broad range of sports clubs and leisure societies including media.
