Reading University Students’ Union (RUSU) is based on the beautiful 320 acre Whiteknights parkland campus. It provides an essential voice for the 17,500 students within the University of Reading. 

A team of five Student Officers direct the Union as well as campaign on issues which matter to the University of  Reading students.

The Union building hosts the Advice, Representation and Campaigns centre which offers support in all areas as well as a team of independant advisors. The Student Activities Centre focusses on all those students involved in volunteering and the many sports and societies that RUSU facilitates.

The Lounge hosts the student media groups consisting of the Junction11 radio station, Spark*, the student newspaper and RU:ON, the student television station.

The Students’ Union has a 2000 capacity nightclub (3sixty), a lively bar serving beverages and pub style food (Mojo's Bar) and a relaxing Cafe (Cafe Mondial). The venues hold a range of activities from flirt!, local bands, quiz and karaoke, comedy nights and regular society parties.

A retail mall in the building offers a lettings agency, bookshop, cereal and bagel bar, a hairdresser, an oriental food store and mailing and printing sevices, all catering for the diverse needs of our students. 

The Campus Central Shop in an adjacent building has 270 square feet of floor space it is beleved to be the largest students' union run shop in the UK.

RUSU also has a Nursery which is run by a qualified team and exists to cater for those students who need help with childcare whilst they are studying.
