Blackpool and The Fylde College Students’ Union – a small Union (currently) with big dreams.

Our Students’ Union is swiftly growing, as we continue to build relationships with the College, local service providers, businesses and universities such as UCLan and Lancaster.

Representing in excess of 17,000 students, across a wide range of both FE and HE courses, is no easy task. Our Union is solely voluntary and each year’s Exec works hard as a team to ensure success.

Previous achievements are: the delivery of a variety of campaigns, such as No Disrespect; Annual events: The BFTC Summer Ball and Freshers’ Fair; Representing the student voice at college, from Environmental to the Academic board and nationally at conference.

The next year heralds the arrival of a new website, podcasting, the Union magazine and a new exec, fired up and raring to go.  We are keen to develop stronger links with other Unions.
