Speakers announced for the NUS and Amnesty Student Media Summit 2015
Owen Jones, Simon Hattenstone, Mary Nightingale and more announced for our annual Student Media Summit which takes place on Thursday 20 and Friday 21 August.
Were delighted to announce that the programme for this year’s Student Media Summit will feature high profile speakers including Owen Jones, Simon Hattenstone, Mary Nightingale, Felicity Morse and Jonathan Miller.
The final line-up also boasts other senior figures from the Guardian, BBC, Channel 4 News, Buzzfeed, Grazia, VICE and more.
In addition, we will be hosting sessions on television and radio, sub-editing and design, sourcing ethical advertising revenue, sourcing images and managing a student newsroom which will be delivered by professional bodies such as the National Union of Journalists (NUJ), National Student Television Association (NaSTA), Student Publication Association (SPA) as well as key figures from NUS, Amnesty International and students’ unions.
The Student Media Summit - a collaborative event run by NUS and Amnesty International - has become the premier gathering for students aspiring to careers in the media and is designed to help attendees to build and improve their skills, prepare for their next step into journalism, and offer some excellent networking opportunities.
What’s more, with numerous top professionals from across the world of media present, we are certain attendees will leave inspired.
