NUS responds to the release of the Labour Party's educational commitment

Tuesday 12 November 2019

Claire Sosienski Smith, Vice President (Higher Education) comments

“Students’ unions and NUS have been at the forefront of campaigning to reinstate maintenance grants since the day that they were scrapped; we welcome the Labour Party’s commitment to putting them back on the table, along with six years of funded higher education, both technical and academic. Coupled with a commitment to free level 3 qualifications, this is a policy which could be truly progressive for all those who have struggled to get in to education, or those whose journeys have been cut short.”
