#GenerationVote Twitter Hustings: Cambridge

Thursday 1 June 2017 NUS News

The fourth in our series of online hustings took place yesterday, with candidates standing in Cambridge answering questions via Twitter. We asked Daniel Zeichner (Labour), John Hayward (Conservative), Stuart Tuckwood (Green) and Julian Huppert (Liberal Democrat) about their plans for education and why local students should vote for them.

How have you actively encouraged students and young people to participate in politics?

What do you think are the greatest challenges posed to students by Brexit?

How will you ensure that students are not left to bear the brunt of increased debt?

Our NHS is a key concern for students – if elected, how will you help give it the resources it needs?

How will you make sure our colleges have the funding they need?

Our next Twitter Husting takes place at 1pm tomorrow (Friday 2 June), where we'll be tweeting up candidates standing for election in Lincoln including; Karen Lee (Labour), Caroline Kenyon (Lib Dem), and Ben Loryman (Green).

We then have our final hustings in Dumfriesshire, Clydesdale & Tweeddale on Monday 5 June.
