EU referendum voter registration deadline extended

Wednesday 8 June 2016 NUS News

You have until midnight on Thursday 9 June to register to vote.

Due to technical problems with the government website on Tuesday, the deadline to register to vote for the EU referendum has been extended by 48 hours.

You now have until midnight on Thursday 9 June to make sure that you can make your voice heard.

The vote on whether or not the UK should remain a member of the European Union will take place on Thursday 23 June.

If your home address and term-time addresses are different, you will need to be registered at the address where you will be on the day.

If you think you’re registered but aren’t sure, then double check.

Registering to vote only takes five minutes – do it online at gov.uk/register-to-vote
