Brighton set for world’s largest democratic student event

Friday 15 April 2016 NUS News

NUS National Conference 2016 is set to take place at the Brighton Centre from 19 – 21 April.

NUS National Conference is the largest democratic gathering of student leaders in the world.

Over 1,000 people will attend, including over 800 delegates from students’ unions around the country.

National Conference sets NUS policy and elects the national president and vice presidents for the following academic year.

It’s held at the same time every year and will return to Brighton in twelve months' time, before heading to Glasgow in 2018 and 2019.

As well as electing the national representatives of millions of students and deciding how best to fight for students’ rights, it is estimated that the event will contribute over £1.5m to the local economy!
