Fancy a sweet treat for Valentine's Day without the hassle? Here's our recipe for a gluten free cake for chocolate lovers.
You will need:
120g dark chocolate (get some with a high cocoa content)
150g caster sugar
50g cocoa powder
1 tsp vanilla extract
Preheat the oven to 170C. Grease a round cake tin or dish with butter. Melt the chocolate and butter slowly in a glass mixing bowl over a saucepan of simmering water until runny. Take the bowl off the heat and stir in the sugar, beaten eggs, cocoa powder and vanilla extract.
Pour into the tin and bake for 30 minutues. Leave it to cool for about 10 minutes before removing from tin. Serve dusted with icing sugar, or just delve in.
