European Health Insurance Card: no change for European students

Students from EEA countries should still bring their EHIC with them in order to access free NHS care.

In the wake of the Brexit vote, there has understandably been some confusion and concern among European students about their status.

The situation may be subject to change, but regulations around access to the NHS remain unchanged. 

EU students for the 2016-17 academic year should still bring their EHIC with them in order to access free NHS care while studying in the UK.
