Student Switch Off, a campaign led by students and supported by NUS to effect climate change, has kept over 1,500 tonnes of carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere.

That’s the equivalent of making over 20,000 individual return flights from London to Manchester. That campaign alone has also saved students over £1,000,000 in electricity bills.

We know that all of these examples wouldn’t exist without the hard-working supporters of the student movement; student officers, volunteers, and staff in member unions.

And together, as a student movement, we will continue to change the lives of people across the UK – with national influence, on a local level.
