Wins for working students

NUS aims to be a leading voice within the British trade union movement. We have formed a partnership with the Trade Union Congress (TUC)

This led to Gemma Tumelty (NUS President 2006-08) being the first NUS President to speak at the TUC’s Congress. Together. 

NUS also produced the ‘All work and low pay’ information booklet to highlight the issues of working students.  

We continue to lobby parliament for better rights for part-time and flexible workers.
