At the Guild we aim to enhance the experience of our students by ensuring that their time at Aberystwyth is remembered fondly! We host over 100 sports clubs and non-sporty societies to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to get involved with their chosen activity – from football and rugby to juggling and debating. Our entertainments department run an unrivalled calendar of social events, ranging from club nights, fancy dress nights, retro roller discos, and the best comedy nights in the country! The annual May Ball is a hugely popular event, with recent appearances from Girls Aloud, Jools Holland, Goldie Lookin Chain and the 90s favourite - The Venga Boys! The social aspect of the Guild is backed up by its important representative role – ensuring that the needs of our students are being met by the University and our Student Advice and Counselling Centre offers independent welfare advice and support.
