The UDSU is here to provide our students with all the essentials they need during student life, from sports teams and societies and welfare campaigns, to hosting the most unforgettable nights of the year, including the two annual Balls. Past acts have included Sugababes and Judge Jules. We have a top notch Education and Welfare team, offering advice and representation to all students, and have recently been nominated for an NUS award. Our media has gone from strength to strength and we now offer a student radio station and a glossy monthly student magazine ‘Dusted’. UDSU facilities include four Union shops, a bar, a coffee shop, and a fitness suite. Our new, £0.5million bar, hosts many events, and was recently acclaimed in the magazine, Kerrang! following Fightstar’s performance. Our emphasis is on making university life as fun, memorable and safe as possible and encouraging all students to get involved.
