The Universities at Medway Students' Association (UMSA) is the fastest growing student organisation in the UK, representing the needs and providing activities and services for the 7,000 students that study at the tri-partite Universities at Medway campus in Chatham Maritime, Kent. UMSA is a partnership organisation directed by Kent Union, Greenwich Students' Union and Christ Church Students' Union. The Association is integral to the Universities at Medway project and acts as the heartbeat of student life. The Association offers a top quality independent advice service, rapidly expanding sports teams that compete against Universities and Colleges in the South of England and increasing numbers of student societies that reflect the cultural and academic diversity of our members. In addition, the Association is committed the expanding opportunities for young people in Medway and takes its role within the wider community seriously. The Association operates two nationally award winning bars on the campus - Coopers and Purple, and a small convenience store from the ground floor of the Jellicoe building.
