Thames Valley University Students Union is first and foremost there to represent the views of our Students. We pride ourselves on being the voice of the student community and have a sophisticated model of individual representation. The Union has a very welcoming feel to it and the officers and staff are always willing to help answer any questions. There great opportunities for good social networking through the Union, with over 30 active clubs societies, ranging from the Christian Union, The Afro- Caribbean and Law societies, right through to the DJ, Music performance, and Cheerleading societies. Starting a society of your own is now tremendously simple, making the club or society eligible for funding from the SU through our democratic processes. TVUSU has a number of good sporting opportunities, with around 20 teams that play nationally against other Universities. Sports teams include Rugby, Netball, Football, Cricket, and loads more. All our Students are members, and as such have access to all the facilities that are available, including a performance hall, meeting spaces, and media equipment. We are constantly trying to invest any money we make for more and better equipment. The Ealing Campus also has a bar and hall which can be booked by students to put on events. Overall it’s a relaxed environment with lots of serious things happening and plenty of friendly faces.
