South Downs College Student Union is run by a team of student officers who are voted for each year by the students. We also have a team of student reps who are there to talk to the students all around college about any issues which are then forwarded to college staff to be sorted out. The fact that we have not had many issues to deal with proves that most students are very happy with their life at South Downs College. The student union offers NUS EXTRA cards to all students and over half of our full-time students have bought one during the last year. The student union offers many trips, such as Thorpe Park, Alton Towers, London, Disney, Spain, London theatres, and more locally ice-skating, Playzone and lots of campus activities, karaokes, pool and x-box tournaments. Currently we have a pool table and 3 X box 360s for use by students in our Coffee House. We are considering increasing this next year.
