Newcastle College Students’ Union (NCSU) organises events and activities, helps students set up clubs and societies, and gives them the opportunity to get involved by volunteering. Volunteering opportunities include becoming a member of the Publicity Team, the Student Advice and Support Team or students can become involved in the running of their Student magazine, ‘The Slant’. We have NCSU elections twice a year where students have the opportunity to be part of the Executive Committee or Union Council and take part in the running of the Union. The NCSU have got involved in a variety of campaigns over the past year, including anti-bullying and promoting sexual health awareness. We also organise a Freshers’ Fayre at the beginning of the year to introduce students to some of the social activities and clubs we run and support, so they can make the most of their leisure time at College.
