Heriot-Watt University Students Association exists to represent every single one of our students, while also providing vital services for our campus community. Be it campaigning for students rights, providing a competitively priced Student Shop, or providing entertainment, HWUSA exists for our students. Within The Union we have two catering outlets, our Advice & Support Centre and a multi purpose live entertainment venue Zero Degrees. Some highlights from last year include our hugely successful student night-the big F. Our ERASMUS, Actuarial Maths, First Aid Africa and People & Planet Society have run a large number of big scale events. Our Brewing Society raised over £6000 in our annual Beer Festival and our Advice & Support Centre has had over 1000 visits, providing £6000 in hardship funds and over 13 000 free condoms. All our activities provide invaluable volunteering opportunities and illustrate the fact that we are run BY students FOR students.
