Colegsirgar Student Union is an organisation run by students for students. The Unions role is to organize fun extra curricular activities while representing students and their rights both in the college and the wider community. Colegsirgar has five campus's in Carmarthenshire. One in Llanelli, two in Carmarthen, one in Ammanford and one in Llandeilo. Every student that enrols at Colegsirgâr is automatically a member of the Union which entitles FT and PT students to purchase a NUS Extra Card to access student discounts in a vast number of national chain shops Top Shop McDonalds Subway JJB Sports as well as local outlets, Ten Pin Bowling, cinemas, food outlets and lots more. Every October Colegsirgar holds elections to find student union executive officers i.e President Welsh Affairs Officer etc. Colegsirgar Student Union has raised thousands for Charities by Abseiling, Tug of Wars, Rowing against staff, rock concerts in the refectory, Karioke competitions, waxing boys legs and on our farming campus they had a welly wanging competition! Students dressed up for Children in Need, World Aids Day, Sports relief, Wear it Pink and Jeans for Genes Day!
