THE AIMS OF THE STUDENT UNION 2.1 To actively represent the students in all matters concerning their education. 2.2 To seek representation on College bodies that deal with student issues. 2.3 To promote the social, educational and general welfare of students. 2.4 To encourage student societies, activities and affiliations. 2.5 To oppose discrimination and to actively promote the college equal opportunities policy. 2.6 To provide a channel of communication between the students and the college bodies. 2.7 To represent the members in all matters affecting student interest regardless of class, gender, race religion sexual orientation or disability.
