Our Student Union is an organisation run for students, by students. The executive is comprised of elected students and a full-time administrator employed by the SU. The role of the SU is to communicate with the student body and represent their views at various committee meetings that deal with all aspects of college life; social, academic and professional. We also take care of student welfare, ensuring that students have access to accommodation and providing support for academic as well as personal issues that maybe affecting a student’s studies and general well being. The SU is also responsible for organising the majority of the social events that occur throughout the year, including fresher’s week, Christmas revue and all the end of term parties as well as running the on campus bar The Toggler’s Arms. Our aim is to ensure that every student has the best possible experience at the AECC.
