NUS Scotland's Student Learning Enhancement and Engagement Campaign - SLEEC - involves education activists from across the country in events and debates on a range of education quality issues and the project previously developed a range of really useful information and training resources which you can download here.
The previous network was split into college and university as there are different education quality issues - these are the university resources:
Introduction - this covers how to use the toolkit, a ‘jargon buster’ which explains key words and phrases and contacts for more information
Feedback - this covers some of the issues students have with feedback, principles for good feedback, case studies on feedback campaigns and training resources for students on feedback campaigning
Assessment - this explains different types of assessment, their strengths and weaknesses, NUS Scotland principles of effective assessment, and resources for a training session on assessment and changing assessment which you can run for your students or class reps
National Student Survey (NSS) - this is about the National Student Survey and how you can get more people involved in the survey and use the results of this to campaign for improvements at your institution, including training resources on NSS and how to use it
Enhancement-Led Institutional Review - ELIR - this explains the ELIR process, which is the review process for assessing quality in universities and how you can get involved in this process to make real changes and improve education quality at your institution
Internal Subject Review - Internal Subject Review is part of the quality review process in universities and this section explains the review process and how you can support the students involved, along with some case studies
Bologna and Mobility - this is about higher education across Europe and opportunities to study abroad as part of their degree, and how you can support more of your students to get involved in programmes, including a training session on promoting study abroad
