Why Travel with Stray?
-We offer outstanding unique stops and activities
In South East Asia we make sure our customers get all the highlights (homestays, tubing, communist caves, 4000 Islands) plus much more stuff that can't be done by independent travellers or other companies
In New Zealand we stay in more national parks than anyone else, we focus on the nature and amazing walks while still leaving time for the well-known activities such as Bungee Jumping, Skydiving and white water rafting. We also provide some really cool alternatives like getting a TaMoko (Maori Tattoo), panning for gold and licking icebergs on a glacial lake.
-We stay closer to the action
Our smaller group sizes and buses mean we can get further from the main path exploring the true culture as well as the amazing scenery.
-We stop to do things along the way
ASIA - From tubing in Vang Vieng, Laos to the epic vastness of Kong Lor we make sure you have time to do the things you really want to do and give you more time to explore and show you the hidden gems that aren't easily accessible
NZ - You have time for white water rafting, the Tongariro crossing, fishing, whale watching, bungee jumping built into the itinerary so you will never miss out. We also stay in the heart of some amazing national parks, Fiordland for Milford Sound, Westland for Franz Josef Glacier, next door to the Abel Tasman for golden beaches to name a few.
-We are fully flexible guided tours
Stray NZ and Stray Asia offer a fully flexible (hop-on and off as many times as you want!) that are guided by locals, from the area. Our passes are always valid for 12 months so you can take as little or as long as you want.
-We travel responsibly
We take care of the culture no matter where we go and we always have a keen eye on the environment making sure we leave as little impact as possible. We have an ‘Envir-Gold' award for our efforts in New Zealand and we have local guides in South East Asia to help you protect local customs and culture.
