Registration is now open for this year’s Student Sustainability Summit – an event for activists and officers putting sustainability at the heart of our student movement.
Over the last five years we’ve seen student-led sustainability become absolutely transformational across our movement. But as global leaders prepare to meet in Paris this winter, and our work on divestment gathers more and more momentum, we want to take it even further.
For two days of talks, workshops and networking, the second ever Student Sustainability Summit will help you to make this happen, delivered in partnership with EAUC and People & Planet. We can make sustainability one of our movement’s key social justice issues, and reform our education system to make it a force for social, economic and environmental good.
We’ll be exploring issues like
- Fossil fuel divestment
- Reinvestment in renewables
- Local food and co-operatives
- Health and wellbeing
- Creative activism
- Green jobs and economy
- Beyond Paris – linking the local to the national
Discussing issues like this, and many more, we’ll leave the summit with loads of new ideas and connections for making real change on your campus and across your community, as part of an international movement.
We’ll be announcing exciting keynote speakers and a full agenda very soon, but – in the meantime – you can watch talks and workshops from last year on our YouTube channel.
Register today and join us in the University of Bristol Students' Union on November 9 and 10 for two days of sustainability and social justice.
