The review will be led by Alison Wolf, a professor at King's College London. Professor Wolf is recognised as a commentator on vocational education, but we're still concerned about the implications of this review on the future of vocational education in this country.
If we don't fight back now, a whole generation of students will see their hard work and achievements wasted. What's more, the efforts being undertaken right now by thousands of vocational students might become meaningless.
The Wolf Review is due to submit a final report in spring 2011. The deadline for submissions is 29 October.
That means that we only have a few months to do all that we can to ensure that our voices are heard by the Wolf Review. Now is the time to remind Alison Wolf that 'vocational education' is not just a phrase to be bandied about by politicians who want to point-score and name-call. For thousands of us, it's the gateway to our future.
