The latest UCLan Student Satisfaction Survey shows that students are overwhelmingly satisfied with their students’ union, with 94 per cent satisfied with the union's performance and services.

The Advice Centre scored a 91 per cent satisfaction rate, with 89 per cent of students rating its service as important.

Opportunities for students

Gavin Jones, Union President, said: “These results are a great indication of all the hard work the students’ union is doing. “Money we are investing into areas of the union is allowing us to develop resources and create more opportunities for students to get involved.

“Since moving into the Union building in 2004, the Advice Centre has grown from strength to strength and this year we have budgeted for an additional staff member to boost the satisfaction rating further for next year.

The Students' Union reception on the Preston campus scored a 94 per cent satisfaction rating, while Essentials, the Union shop received an importance rating of 88 per cent. More than 2,000 students took part in the survey, from all years of study and courses.
