Every year, thousands of students engage in fundraising activity and this year will see a dedicated national challenge to support BBC Children in Need to distribute funding to thousands of charities to change the lives of children.

Already students’ unions have been showing their support to the Pounds for Pudsey campaign by planning activity in the lead up to Friday 16 November, when the annual telethon comes around.

As well as supporting the different RAG groups to run local projects, NUS has also made BBC Children in Need their charity of choice and are giving students the option of donating £1 every time they purchase their NUS extra student discount card.

In order to donate, students can give £1 when they buy their NUS extra card or they can choose to join in with the campaign on their campus.  If you want to find out more, keep your eyes on nus.org.uk and bbc.co.uk/cin
