Wes Streeting, NUS President and Alex Bols, NUS Head of Education and Quality answered MPs' questions on student expectations, satisfaction, admissions, access, teaching quality and bursaries.
They appeared before the MPs alongside representatives from Birkbeck SU and the Open University Students’ Association.
Asked about what students wanted from their experience, NUS President Wes Streeting argued that students wanted a combination of well planned courses, support facilities, staff contact and good preparation for either employment or the next stage of study.
