The event included:
Day one: a talk from producers of fair trade products organised by Fair Trade Wales; a reception held by Wales TUC to raise awareness of the benefits of joining a trade union, for students and graduates.
Day two: a session on the General Election and why students should vote, held by Susan Nash; and an interactive session on students and safety from The Lock’s team.
Conference was well attended by both FE and HE representatives, and a great opportunity to network and have fun with a brilliant karaoke evening which revealed many stars in the making.
Conference also passed motions on a number of issues that affect students and was the opportunity to elect next year’s team.
