The company received a Good Egg Award in recognition of its commitment to sourcing only free-range eggs for catering.

The event was hosted by legendary wildlife enthusiast, actor and author, Bill Oddie, while a host of celebrities and high profile supporters also attended. Marc Abraham (aka Marc the Vet) and professional model Juliet Johns presented NUS with the award.

Catherine Dishington, Ethical Supply Chain Co-ordinator at NUS, said: "A commitment to using only free range eggs in catering has already been policy in many of our member unions for over two years, and NUS is proud to follow the footsteps of our most ethical member unions on the issue of egg-laying hen welfare".

NUS would like to thank catering suppliers 3663 and Brakes for their help ensuring that only free range eggs are now listed as part of NUS' catering supplies.
