Love Music Hate Racism Wales committee revealed

A little over a month ago – the NUS Wales Black Students’ Campaign helped to launch Love Music Hate Racism Wales.We also opened up applications for the steering committee.

Here are the candidates who were selected:

Andrew Tindall – Aberystwyth University Guild of Students
Andrew is a student at Aberystwyth University. Andrew used to be a Regional Officer, and Deputy Campaigns Officer for a national political party.
 
Aiden Ramsey – Swansea University Students’ Union
Aiden Ramsey is a student at Swansea University. Aiden is an environmentalist working on conservation and corporate accountability.
 
Ben Meakin - Aberystwyth University Guild of Students
Ben is the President of Aberystwyth Guild of Students. Ben DJ’d at the Beach Break festival and is heavily involved with the radio industry.
 
Nagina Kabul - Glamorgan University Students' Union
Nagina is a student at Glamorgan University. She is a passionate antiracism campaigner already involved in antifascism work. She has already campaigned with LMHR and LMHH.
 
Rich Gorman – Bangor University Students’ Union
Rich is a sabbatical officer at Bangor University Students Union – taking care of societies and campaigns.
 
Tom Upton - Swansea University Students’ Union
Tom is a sabbatical officer at Swansea University Students’ Union and a DJ – his role includes developing societies and services.

These students and student officers will join the steering committee towards the end of August helping to plan and implement a very exciting series of events that will advance antifascism work and help mainstream the arguments against racism in Wales.
