This was the first time that NUS Wales had met with the Minister since his appointment in December, presenting the first opportunity for a number of issues across the FE and HE sector to be raised, including learner voice in FE,
For Our Future and the 5% 'efficiency savings' required in the recent WAG education budget.
The meeting was a productive one, and it is clear that this Minister is keen to make progress with ongoing initiatives and to ensure that the sector is delivering WAG objectives efficiently.
Further work on For Our Future commitments will be taking place over the next few weeks and months, and the Minister has given us his assurance that NUS Wales will be involved in many of these areas of work.
