Consultation launched on minimum wage and tipping.

Employment Minister Pat McFadden launched a consultation on Wednesday 19 November on proposals that would end the practice of tips being used in payment of the national minimum wage.

He said the time was now right to review the position of the 1999 Act which allows the use of tips to count towards payment of the national minimum wage in certain circumstances.
