Through ten students’ unions in England, the project trained student volunteers in practical energy efficiency auditing skills, then deployed them to community organisations and small businesses in and around their campus to help reduce community carbon.
From helping to bridge closer links between students, students’ unions and the community to providing students with valuable skills the Carbon Ambassador scheme showed what can be achieved by students, businesses and the community working collectively in the battle against climate change.
