Green Impact Students' Unions

This year our successful accreditation scheme to help green unions has had a re-vamp!  Formerly known as the Sound Environmental Impact Awards, the Green Impact Students’ Union programme is an accreditation scheme for environmental good-practice in Students’ Unions.

The scheme seeks to encourage, nurture, reward and celebrate good environmental practice in students’ unions.

2009/10

Last year a whopping 83 students’ unions returned workbooks, with 55 achieving the silver standard or gold award.

This is a tremendous achievement, showing that we are now all together a much greener movement!

2008/09

For 2008/09 a higher benchmark than in 2007/08 was introduced and there are some major changes this year to build upon progress made in years one and two. Seventy-nine students' unions entered the programme in 2008/09.
