Ethical Living Overview

Ethical living makes a big difference to people's lives and the communities they live in. Living ethically can help prevent exploitation and reduce environmental damage.

Being a student and therefore a "decision maker of the future", it is your responsibility to look after the earth we share and make a real difference in your local community and university campus.

NUS is passionate about ethical and environmental issues and undertakes a great deal of work to ensure students' unions are ethical and environmental hubs of activity.

This includes screening all the organisations who supply goods to students' unions for improper practice.

We also run the Green Impact awards scheme for unions to continually improve their eco-status and are undertaking the Carbon Academy project to reduce the carbon footprint of every union.

Whilst we do a lot for our students' unions we also want students to do as much as possible too.

Our Ethical Living section is a great place to start. It'll get you thinking of new and novel ways to be ethical and environmental on campus.
