Constructive Engagement with Coca-Cola

The Ethical and Environmental Committee are engaged in regular dialogue with Coca-Cola over the serious accusations against the company relating to Colombia and India.

NUS Services' statement in response to the ILO Report

Following an the release of the long awaited report into the International Labour Organisations' investigation into work and labour relations issues at Coca-Cola bottling plants in Colombia, NUS Services has released the following statement.

Statement on Mark Thomas book extract in The Guardian

The extract published in the Guardian in 2008 does not make any new allegations against The Coca-Cola Company. If any new allegations arise the Committee will engage with The Coca-Cola Company on behalf of our member students’ unions.

Direct engagement with Ed Potter

On 02 April 2007 Ed Potter, Director of Global Labour Relations and Workplace Accountability of The Coca-Cola Company, attended our Annual Convention as a keynote speaker.

Over the last thirty months of engagement we have seen an impressive transformation in the company’s labour relations policies and practice under Ed’s supervision. The purpose of the session was to communicate some of this positive work to our members.
